Inspired Birth; A Three Hour Intensive For Couples
In three hours, we’ll dive into the anatomy of a deeply connected birth experience; connection to your body, your partner, your baby and the magic of birth. This class is designed to support first or second time couples birthing in the hospital, birth center or at home.
You’ll practice the essentials for an inspired birth; guided relaxation, partner communication, breathing techniques, massage and touch. Couples will leave with a shared language for birth that is rooted in the emotional terrain and physiology of the hormones of labor and contractions.
You’ll practice positions for grounding and tools for cultivating affirming communication through every contraction. You’ll build a body memory for relaxation and massage, opening your pelvic floor and hips, and connecting to your body through breath work. All of this will allow you and your partner to feel prepared and inspired for birth!
When to take the class?
Class is best taken anywhere between 17 weeks and 38 weeks. The techniques you learn for breath work, the hormonal blueprint of labor, and guided relaxation will only become stronger tools for birth the more you practice them. Sharing a common language for birth with your partner will enhance your pregnancy experience, validate your intuition, and inform your birthing choices.
